Panasonic Dvd Error Code U73

Maybe a firmware update can solve this glitch. The same HDMI cables work fine with the Samsung. Any other ideas before I give up ? Most of the time this setup works fine. http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=106404
Panasonic Blu-ray U72 Error Code
It may be a HDMI switcher that cannot handle the handshake properly or it could be that you just have to change the order each connected device in the chain is I should add that the Westy works perfectly with the Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray player - and that the BD-35 works perfectly with my Samsung LCD display in 1080p mode using HDMI. Is it the first disc you have tried?

Try setting the player output for only 1080i to see if it works with the cable, and whether it is just a CEC issue between the devices not correctly negotiating the U73 Submarine If you have a long (12+feet) HDMI cable and it is a cheap cable this could be the issue.

Try turning on the display first and have it set to the connected HDMI input BEFORE turning on the BD35. So, I am going back to the Sammy Blu-ray player - and joining the "I hate HDMI" club! Who knows, there may be a work around they have already. The connected equipment is not HDMI compatible.
This was with a 1m HDMI jumper to the switcher and a 4m HDMI jumper to the TV.
I got the U73 error. I have tried all settings suggested on various forums and still no luck. I am a member of that club despite never actually having a problem myself. Are you using a 1.3 HDMI cable for the bd player?

Make and model of disk player Make and model of TV How is the player connected to the TV, ie SCART, HDMI or some other method? The Panasonic "tech support" was a joke... I just paid big bucks for the Denon so I could get HDMI switching and advanced audio format decoding. Has anybody else had this issue.
