Panasonic Dmr-ex77 U61 Error

My husband did this and found that the fault was not with the lens, which was clean, but with the actual mechanism that spins the DVD around (the motor?!). http://sisei.net/panasonic-dmr/panasonic-dmr-ex77-hdd-error.html
